The Royal Government of Cambodia has issued the circular on the preparation of the 77th anniversary of International Children's Day on June 1, the 25th anniversary of the World Day Against Child Labor on June 12, and Cambodian Children's Day 2026. Under the theme, peace is the foundation of respect and protection of children's rights and commitment to eliminate the worst forms of child labor in all production chains to build resilience and decent work.

The Cambodia National Council for Children would like to strongly condemn the unacceptable and cruel, barbaric, and inhumane act committed by Kim Vanna, a 35-year-old man, who brutally murdered a 5-year-old girl in Kandal province.

The General Secretariat of the Cambodia National Council for Children would like to strongly condemn the suspect, Chheng Sok, 28, who committed the murder of a child, Chuon Pechra, 5, on the afternoon of April 15, 2026 at 3:30 pm, in Trang Village, Kandek Commune, Prasat Bakong District, Siem Reap Province.
